Independent Community Mental Health Advocate (Non-Statutory) – Contract 12 months, ongoing subject to further funding.

Accountable to: AWW-EGC-EGC Management Committee

Responsible to: Chief Officer

Pay Scale:

  • Unqualified – £24,097 per annum full time equivalent (FTE)
  • Qualified –     £26,727 per annum FTE (qualified with Independent Advocacy Qualification at Diploma Level)

Hours:  37 hours per week.

Summary of Role

Based in Carmarthen (based mainly from home during the Covid-19 pandemic but expected to do face-to-face advocacy work with clients) you will be a key member of AWW-EGC’s independent community mental health advocacy service for adults provided across Carmarthenshire. You will be working to establish drop-in advocacy services at venues in Ammanford and Llanelli.
