The Guide Digital – Mental Health Literacy for All is an in-depth mental health training that has been successfully rolled out within schools in Wales since 2018, it has also been adapted & delivered online during the pandemic for a wider reaching approach to helping young people.
The training covers many aspects of mental health such as;
- What is Mental Health Literacy;
- Mental health Terms, Meaning & Language;
- Understanding Stigma;
- Understanding Stress & Stress Response;
- Common Mental Disorders;
- Pathways to Care; Recognising a Mental Disorder & Treatment & Recovery;
- COVID-19 Response & recovery.
It is suitable for anyone working with, volunteering, or currently studying & on placement with young people in Wales.
The training is delivered over four 2½ hour sessions, via Microsoft Teams in groups of up to 15 people. All 4 sessions need to be attended, due to the nature of the training. CPD certificate (10 hours) awarded on completion of all four sessions.
