Public Health Wales Screening Division has updated its range of Easy Read resources. The new resources include:
About your breast testAbout your diabetic eye testAbout your Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm testScreening during Coronavirus

The screening journeys are explained within the Easy Read leaflets using simple language with supporting images.

We have also developed a short film called ‘About NHS Screening’ in partnership with North Wales Together and TAPE Community Music and Film. The film helps address some of the questions that people may have about going for screening and supports the Easy Read leaflets.

Throughout the resource development, we engaged with organisations who represent people with learning disabilities, sensory loss and people from ethnic minorities to ensure the information meets the needs of the people they are intended for.

We would like to thank the following organisations who contributed to the development and review of the resources: TAPE Community Music and Film and the individuals who took part in producing the film; Easy Read Wales for the leaflet formatting and design, All Wales People First, Conwy Connect, Centre of Sign Sight Sound and ethnic minority community link workers who helped to review the leaflets.

You can also access our existing Easy Read resources which are currently under review:

We welcome feedback on how the leaflets and film are being used to support people to make an informed decision about going for a screening test.

Please share the resources with your networks and the people you support.
