Fixed-term to 31 March 2022 (possibility of extension subject to funding)

Full time: 35 (part-time hours and job share may be considered)

Salary:  £19,683 – £20,437 per annum (pro rata for part-time)

Location:  Office base is in Cardigan and our service covers the county of Ceredigion.  The role is currently home-based due to Covid-19 measures. 


Citizens Advice offers confidential advice online, over the phone and in person, for free. We give people the knowledge and the confidence they need to find their way forward – whoever they are, and whatever their problem.  We help with everything from money issues to problems at work, housing to consumer rights.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is passionate about helping others.  This role is based within the Advicelink team, giving holistic, rights-based advice by telephone to help people who are unaware of the benefits to which they may be entitled which could offer them the support they need. 

The successful candidate will ideally have recent experience in all categories of social welfare law advice and in particular, in advising on welfare benefits, including calculations.  However, training in all aspects will be given to the right candidate.  He/she must have a confident and sensitive telephone manner, effective communication skills, be a team player and be computer literate.
