Community Matters Fund (Fuel Poverty)

Western Power Distribution has teamed up with Localgiving to deliver its Community Matters Fund.

In this fund, Western Power Distribution is providing £500,000 to support charitable organisations and councils in their response to fuel poverty this winter.

Western Power Distribution distributes electricity to 8 million customers across an area covering the Midlands, south west England and South Wales. Funding is available for non-profit and statutory organisations based in these locations.

The programme is now live and accepting applications until Monday 22nd November 2021.

  • All applicants will be informed of the outcome of their application by 14th December 2021.
  • Projects must be delivered and funding spent by 31st March 2022.

 

Organisations can apply for up to £10,000 depending on the type of organisation they are. The funding limits are:

  • Registered charities and local government organisations can apply for a maximum of £10,000
  • Registered companies and constituted charitable organisations without a charity number can apply for a maximum of £2,000
