Charities to be recognised for their vital contributions to Wales over the last two years.

WCVA* press release 04.08.22:

The Welsh Charity Awards aims to highlight the amazing work of charities and other non-profits groups and allow people all over Wales to show their appreciation.

Since the last Welsh Charity Awards in 2019, the voluntary sector has shown just how essential it is to Wales. In the face of multiple crises affecting society, charities and volunteers have pulled together to help people all across Wales, and beyond.

Returning after a two-year absence, people in Wales can now make their nominations for the Welsh Charity Awards and celebrate charities, community groups and voluntary organisations that have gone above and beyond to offer compassion and support as well as vital services.

The Welsh Charity Awards was re-launched today at WCVA’s stand at the National Eisteddfod. Nominations will be open until 20 September 2022.

Previous winners include Blood Bikes Wales who provide a free courier service to the NHS, delivering blood supplies, plasma, human breast milk, documents and other vital items across the whole country. The service is free of charge and operates every day of the year, including bank holidays and Christmas Day.

Nominations can be made by visiting welshcharityawards.cymru.

The deadline for nominations is 20 September 2022.

There are five categories to nominate in:
