The Golden Grove Trust is looking for a new Treasurer. This is a volunteer role and is a great opportunity to use your financial experience and to be a part of this crucial phase in the recovery and development of the Gelli Aur Estate.
Tasks are varied, including, but not restricted to, banking of cash donations, maintaining the financial records of our Charitable Trust, monitoring and recording income and expenditure, cash flow forecasting, VAT returns and producing monthly/ annual reports for our Board meetings. We usually meet once a month and, as Treasurer, you will play an important role in the meetings. In addition, you will need to support our Accountants in preparing Annual Accounts for submission to both Companies House and the Charity Commission.
We’re ideally looking for someone with Accounting/Finance experience and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including Trustees, volunteers and external bodies. You should have the ability to maintain confidentiality, and work effectively as a team player, but above all, you will need a good sense of humour! and be passionate about helping to turnaround this kind of estate.
