£20,000 grant now open for rural communities in Wales

Are you part of a rural community in Wales with an idea that could help shape a better future for your area?

On 16th June 2025, the Cymru Wledig Local Policy and Innovation Partnership (LPIP) Rural Wales launched the Rural Wales LPIP Community-led Research Programme Grant.

This is a new opportunity for up to six rural communities to get £20,000 to explore what matters locally that can lead to positive change.

This is more than just a grant! Successful communities will also receive training, support and opportunities to connect.

The LPIP has four themes and your topic should align with at least one:

  •  Building a Regenerative Economy
  •  Supporting the Net Zero Transition
  •  Empowering Communities for Cultural Recovery
  •  Enhancing Wellbeing in Place

The grant is open to communities within rural Wales in a location or place from the following rural local authority areas in Wales: Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Conwy, Denbighshire, Gwynedd, Isle of Anglesey, Monmouthshire, Pembrokeshire, and Powys.
