Royal Voluntary Service (RVS) operates a community-based transport scheme called “Country Cars” in various locations across the UK, including Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire, providing essential journeys for residents who cannot otherwise access transport. This scheme utilizes volunteer drivers using their own cars to offer reliable and affordable rides for appointments, shopping, and social activities, with fares often comparable to public transport.
There are currently opportunities to volunteer as drivers in the Ammanford area, although we welcome applications from across the two counties.
