Baromedr Cymru collects information from third sector organisations across Wales, helping to build a clearer picture of the voluntary sector through up-to-date trends, evidence-based insights, and accessible data visualisations. New information is added regularly, with data gathered quarterly and each survey focusing on a specific topic.
For instance, recent findings show that 48% of organisations are using their reserves to meet increased operational costs. In addition, 35% report difficulties recruiting volunteers, while 31% are finding it challenging to retain them.
The information provided by Baromedr can support strategic decision-making and help add context and evidence of social impact to funding applications. As more data is collected over time, it will also enable more detailed and localised comparisons.
