Llangadog, Llandeilo & Llandovery Men’s Shed

The Shed is a larger community-scale version of the typical man’s shed in the garden. It is a place for making and mending, a place where the person feels comfortable enough to pursue practical interests with like-minded people. A place that is safe and friendly, where skills can be shared.

The aim of this Llangadog, Llandeilo & Llandovery Men’s Shed is to provide a place where people from the community can come together to work on projects and be in good company.

LLL Men’s shed created this recording of their production of the benches and will be connecting with a number of community partners to place the final products.

Llandeilo Town Council placed their bench at the Civic Corner (opposite Carreg Law) and it was unveiled on Monday 19^th June 2023 at 11am.

1. Mike Timewell. Mike opened the unveiling with a heartfelt introduction to why he initially set up the Men’s Shed. Following the death of his wife, from Covid, he wanted to create a space for people like himself.
