Facebook: The Shed and Beyond
We are a friendly group of men who partake in a range of activities from Angling to Walking. We have a strong, supportive relationship with our Town Council and consequently can be found at many council events.
Our name comes from the idea that we are not just another woodwork group – in fact we don’t even have a workshop yet and most of us are happier outdoors!
Our Shed member Rob did a lot of research as to where to source our timber and came up with this location: Calon yn Tyfu Cyf./Growing Heart, Henparcau farm, Boncath, Pembrokeshire.
As you can see from the website this project fits the requirements for the Kindness Benches.
Rob and I, with the help of my son’s trailer, paid a visit a couple of weeks ago and the attached photos show us on site. Rob took his trusty electric chain saw which enabled us to cut the selected boards. The wood is currently in my son’s large wooden workshop where it is drying off and as soon as we have a suitable work area our construction can commence.
