We explored the idea of creating an overarching community association for the community within Llanedi ward. A couple of meetings were held with interested individuals from each hub and a Facebook group was created. It became apparent that each area was so individual that in all but a few cases, they felt they had nothing in common with the others and wanted instead to focus energy on their own hub rather than across the ward. As such, the idea was set aside and work was concentrated on developing activity within the hubs themselves instead
The site was taken down in December 2021 having been inactive for a number of months (to prove the point, the only posts ever put on the site were from the CDO).
Impact: Negligible although it did start to get people to interact on a ward level Outcome: The project didn’t proceed as it did not have community support.
Evidence: Meetings were held and a Facebook page was created, but participation was low and attendance at meetings was inconsistent.
