The infographics have several purposes:
- They are an attractive rendition of key elements from the asset register and provide an easy way for people to assimilate the information.
- They also serve as both an internal and external marketing tool – helping people to take pride in what they have and share it with others.
- They are available on the web site and a small number have been printed for use in public spaces.
The infographics were informed by the asset register but also by local input via social media.
The infographics help in creating knowledge within the community as well as enhancing the sense of community and thereby they help achieve the work of the LAH.
Impact: The maps have had an immediate impact upon the community in terms of boosting local pride.
Outcome: Increased sense of pride and belonging
These maps have really opened my eyes to what we have on our doorstep – it’s great to see all the main good points shown in a picture like this.
