Carmarthenshire has proven that neighbours do support neighbours – and groups have been created across social media to co-ordinate these efforts. Facebook groups and WhatsApp groups are only two examples.
CAVS’ Community Connect Group is a way of bringing this coordinated effort together to share good practice, offer support and advice and create the opportunity for groups to ‘share the load’.
Group organisers/co-ordinators/admins of COVID 19 Facebook groups can register with our Community Volunteer Development Officer Jamie: Jamie.horton@cavs.org.uk You will also gain access to additional funding, training and meeting opportunities.
Whether you are an individual picking up shopping, a street of house ‘keeping an eye’ or a larger group please accept our invitation and join our group.
