On Sunday 24th October we are holding a sponsored Superhero walk to raise money for people with a Learning Disability in Wales.
Mencap Cymru and the Botanic Gardens of Wales have been working together for many years to offer volunteer placements to support people locally with a Learning Disability. The walk will strengthen our partnership and offer an opportunity for the community to come together to help support the wonderful work we do.
We will be holding a 5k Waterfall and Woodland Walk and a shorter and more accessible 1k walk for families and people who may not be able to take on the longer route. We are aiming to engage many partners, companies, schools and individuals including the people we support in and around Carmarthen to make this an exciting and successful event for both charities.
We would love to have you on board in whatever way you would like.
Whether it is to help on the day with one of our volunteer activities, to join in with the walk yourselves, or even to help us spread the word – we’d love you to be part of this exciting new event that will help the many individuals and families we support.
