Supported beneficiaries and members of the CASM group and their families through Zoom meetings, telephone support and WhatsApp group chats, during an extremely difficult time for those who are caring for or living with someone in addiction.

Reopened weekly face to face meetings and hired a larger community hall for this purpose with increased hire charges to be Covid safe, to improve struggling members’ mental health.

Reduced social isolation by allowing many beneficiaries desperate for help and advice to contact CASM via telephone. Catered for the digitally excluded by providing a safe, much needed 24 hour telephone service.

Costs:

4x Officers Internet @ £28 per month For 12 months = £1,344.00

Mobile phone costs For 12 months @ £30 Per month= £   360.00

Hall Costs for 3 months  @ £23.40 per week = £280.80

Many members have benefited from the funds to continue to provide a vital service, at least 30 Families 15 children plus non members.

Some members found it very difficult living with someone with addiction, especially during lockdown when children could not go out. CASM were able to provide for the children therapy packs and vouchers to spend in local shops to assist their Mental Health and keep them occupied.
