Amount and Purpose of Grant | Start getting the community together in a safe manner. Provide a community café and open the toilet facilities for the hall and ensure clean facilities provided by employing a cleaner between 12 noon and 4pm on Saturdays and Sundays for 6 weeks then add in Thursdays (mobile library day) and Fridays during the Summer holidays. Giving families and older residents confidence to start coming back into the hall area. Plus some additional antivirus wipes and additional gloves/aprons. Prepare tea/coffee and cakes for villagers and visitors to start to socialize indoors and outdoors on picnic tables and gazebo Use the website/new facebook page and newsletter to negate social isolation and make people aware facilities are re-opened. Grant of £1830: Cleaner Salary £1300 Electricity £300 Additional PPE, aprons, wipes and gloves £100 Tea/coffee/paper cups/disposables £130 |
Project Achievements/ Challenges/Beneficiaries /Partners/Outcomes | 14 volunteers 27 attendees average every day café open x 4 days x 10 weeks = 1080 members of the community reached. Supported vulnerable community embers and newcomers to have a chat an meet people. The café was so successful it will be run again from April. Lots of lovely comments on website/facebook page. |
