Learning and development
We provide learning and development opportunities to enhance the skills, behaviours and knowledge of trustees, staff and volunteers in third sector organisations in Carmarthenshire.
We believe that by creating a culture of continuous learning, organisations can constantly evolve and develop and thereby contribute to a more effective and resilient voluntary sector.
We organise training and awareness sessions on Good Governance, Engagement and influencing, Sustainable funding and Volunteering as well as courses on best practice and compliance, for example, Level 3 Emergency First Aid at work.
The online learning portal offers a number of courses which individuals can complete in their own time.
There are other ways to access learning and we include information on these below.
We have set up a Learning and Development Network to enable third sector organisations in Carmarthenshire to network, share best practice and develop new collaborative learning initiatives. All colleagues who support learning and development activities in their organisations are welcome.
Please contact Andy Fair on training@cavs.org.uk for more information.
CAVS Online Learning portal

There are courses for people looking to volunteer or who are already volunteering as well as for organisations who involve volunteers. There are also courses on confidence, confidentiality, staying safe and Connect to Kindness.
We would love to get your feedback on these courses which will help us to continually improve. So please complete this short survey after finishing each course: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/XW9JXK9
