Good afternoon, my name is Piers I’m head grower here at Bremenda Isaf county farm in Llanarthne.
This is a Bwyd Sir Gâr Food local food partnership project that really wanted to answer a simple question, “how could we get more good quality, nutritious, local and seasonal food onto the public plate, and at the same time bring the community along with us on a journey of discovery really, looking at heritage, looking at contemporary issues looking at diversification on farm”.
And for myself in particular Bwyd Sir Gâr Food has really helped to nurture my passion for growing vegetables and for enthusing the community around that as well so we support the “we are with you” campaign because we all know how important community is … And we hope to continue this journey into next year and beyond.
