Hello, my name is Claire and I’m a volunteer, a very pro volunteer for Cat Rescue West Wales.
We’re a small independent charity based in Whitland, Carmarthenshire.
I myself work in the charity shop which is in John Street, Whitland and I love working there.
I volunteer on a Saturday.
It’s a right little community centre.
We get regular customers coming in who love coming in for a little chat and seeing what bargains they can pick up.
It’s a real community little hub.
I love volunteering there. As I said, we’re all volunteers. Even the trustees are volunteers.
We all work incredibly hard and it’s such a worthwhile, honest little charity.
Rescuing cats and kittens across West Wales, who stay with us, until they can find their forever homes.
Loving little homes for the lives that they deserve.

Couple of hours in the shop once a week, Couple of hours helping to sort out the donations or maybe updating the website or foster carers for the cats and kittens that come into our, hopefully, temporary care.
I was born and brought up in Carmarthenshire and now I’m retired I feel I’m giving back to a worthwhile Carmarthenshire based charity.
So have a little think about it, it’s worthwhile.
