CAVS Rural Volunteering Project Nov 2017-Oct 2019
Our project focused on working within 6 rural areas of the county for a period of just under 2 years. Promoting the social, health and well-being benefits of volunteering the project team encouraged community members, and volunteer-utilising groups, to focus on local volunteering opportunities.
Providing a number of training workshops, liaising with stakeholders and increased publicity of volunteering yielded positive results with feedback highlighting the value of outreach and spending time listening to the needs of individuals.
This project received funding through the Welsh Government Rural Communities – Rural Development Programme 2014-2020, which is funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the Welsh Government.
The final project report is available here.
