A new community fund launched by Ynni Sir Gâr to support projects in Carmarthenshire that go to the root of the current energy crisis. Our community wind turbine in Rhydygwydd, Salem has been producing renewable electrical energy since 2016. We have now reached the point where we can re-invest more of the turbine’s earnings back into Carmarthenshire’s communities. We have a sum of £20,000 to reinvest in projects that specifically target fuel poverty. This sum will be shared amongst a number of smaller community projects or businesses working within their communities to tackle cost of living issues related to energy. We invite applications between £1,000 and £10,000. Applications must be from community organisations and/or businesses and groups that are providing essential services for the community and that are based and are operating within Carmarthenshire. For further information and to apply, follow this link: Ynni Sir Gâr – Cronfa Gymunedol (ynnisirgar.org). It would be much appreciated if you could share this opportunity amongst your network and community.
